BMW removed the rear seats, fitted carbon bucket seats and reduced sound insulation while raising engine output and adding a rigid, track-biased chassis setup. Its weight reduction, Michelin Cup tyres and revised aerodynamics produced a markedly more intense car than the regular M4.
